Though born in Indiana, Amarye’s influences are almost purely Seattle. Students of the Grunge era, they take a progressive approach to the heavy, expressive, and full-bodied foundation laid by bands like Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Pantera, and Tool. Since their formation in 2007, Amarye has gigged all over Indiana, tightening their sound and their vigorously physical stage show. They have just released a video for their song "Elephant", as well as a new EP, "So Long" on April 18th, 2009.
